Let’s Go FOGO
Googong, NSW
This project was undertaken to promote council initiative ‘FOGO’ (Food Organics Garden Organics). I collaborated with Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council, Essential Energy and Dulux. This mural encourages residents to reduce landfill waste and make use of council FOGO bins or compost at home.
Bringing colour and eco messaging to a
community street
This mural proved to be a powerful way to promote this important council initiative. Located on a busy local street, the mural transformed a functional piece of infrastructure into an engaging community conversation starter. Throughout the painting process, many community members stopped to ask questions about FOGO, chat about the initiative and express their support for the project. By sparking curiosity and encouraging conversations, the mural helped promote the FOGO program in a memorable and very accessible way. This project is a real demonstration of how public art can inspire community engagement and positive environmental action.
“Working with Emilia on the FOGO mural in Googong was an absolute pleasure. Her creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail truly brought the project to life.”
